For any bakery, the consequences of a lapse in food safety can be devastating. Government-approved Food Safety Programmes will become compulsory for all bakeries and cafes in the near future. In the meantime, many wholesale bakery customers and increasing numbers of retail consumers are demanding proof of food safety for themselves.
BIANZ's Food Safety Programme has recently been updated and is available to current BIANZ members. It is the most advanced Food Safety Programme for bakeries and cafes in New Zealand. The HACCP-based programme is suited to any bakery or cafe and has the approval and support of the New Zealand Food Safety Authority. It meets all foreseeable official and commercial needs for food safety assurance.
BIANZ works in conjunction with independent food safety consultants to provide a comprehensive food safety service for members.

Health & Safety Programme |
|
Members have access to a Health and Safety Programme that can be customised to any bakery-type business. This programme's clever design makes it quick and easy to implement. The programme is ACC and OSH compliant and adoption of the programme can entitle members to rebates on ACC levy payments. |
The Association's partners give members many valuable buying benefits and discounts. The group includes a number of major bakery trade suppliers together with Shell, Southern Cross Healthcare, and Hertz.
The partners alone makes your Association membership a worthwhile investment. Most members recoup their membership subscription in a very short time through their savings this way.
