Industry training

We provide industry training up to Level 7, or tertiary qualifications, to staff in employment. The course requirements may include distance learning, on-the-job-assessments, block courses and are always supported by experienced trainers. The courses provide greater understanding, enhance skills, lead to qualifications and provide incentive for on-going learning.

Modern apprenticeships

Plant & Food Research is the co-ordinator for the national modern apprenticeship scheme in both the food processing and baking areas. Modern apprenticeships are available to people aged 16-21 who are New Zealand citizens or permanent residents. We help employers from identifying suitable candidates to ensuring key skills are provided.
